So many of my favorites made this list, which makes me want to check out the ones I haven’t read!

Love the arbitrary/non-arbitrary nature of this list. I graduated high school in 1989 and started at Penn State that fall. Have no idea how many books I've read since then, but it has to be north of 1500. Wow.

Of the ones on your list, I've read Smith (still think about FutureMouse from time to time), Franzen, Krauss, Flynn, Tropper, and Roth. All were very good, for sure.

Not sure what would make my list of 13, but The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay would probably be in the top spot.
