I’m just so amazed at how the 2023 Greg is so much leaner and fitter than the 2011 version! My guess is that you’re running marathons?
Will beg off a reread of Infinite Jest. Am one of those frustrated readers but might go back one day after you mentioned how it clicks after around 200 pages. Maybe I’ll recognize the inter-connectedness of the various sub plots then. But for now, my impression is it’s one big book of loose stories whose common fragment is the deadly infinite jest video. The USA portrayed there seems so sad and hopeless too, life seems so excruciatingly hard whether one is a rich prep school kid, a drug addict, a white collar worker, a wheelchair bound veteran, etc. And oh, those bugs that eat infants and the feral hamsters, those are so scary!
Anyway, wishing you both an enjoyable reread with many new insights.
Bro Greg is the only Bro I want to Bro out with
😂
He's still around here somewhere.

I’m up for reading this in the fall if you want to do a read-along! (Is that a thing? It sounds like a thing.)
LOVE IT! Yes, let's do it!
Maybe we can shoot for a September start date? Excited to have a reading buddy for this one!
Sure Sept works. You just let me know when you’re ready!
I'm putting it in my calendar now so I don't forget!
